Terms of Use
Effective September 26, 2026
FRLY lets you record a short video at a real place, which can only be watched by someone standing in that place. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these terms.
Who can use FRLY
You must be 18 or older. FRLY uses Apple's age signals to check this, and removes any account that belongs to someone under 18.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users
FRLY has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You may not use FRLY to post, send or link to:
- Any sexual content involving a minor. We report it to the authorities.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate directed at anyone.
- Sexual or violent content sent to anyone who has not chosen to receive it.
- Spam, scams, or impersonation of another person.
- Content you don't have the right to share.
Because every memory points to a real place, you also may not use FRLY to lure, follow, stalk, or endanger anyone, or to direct people to a private home, private property, or anywhere unsafe.
What we do about it
You can report any memory or person, and block anyone, in the app. We review reports and act within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, without notice, and report illegal content to the authorities.
Your content
You own what you record. You give FRLY permission to store, process and deliver it to the people you share it with, for as long as it stays on FRLY. Once someone has stood at a place and opened a memory you shared, it stays with them — including if you later delete that memory, or your whole account, when it is shown without your name. People you share with can save a copy to their own device, which FRLY cannot reach.
Going places
FRLY does not check whether a place is safe, open, or legal to visit. Going somewhere to open a memory is your own decision and at your own risk. Obey the law and respect private property.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app. It disappears at once and is erased 30 days later; signing back in before then cancels it. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your content.
The service
FRLY is provided as it is, and may change or stop. To the fullest extent the law allows, FRLY is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll ask you to agree to the new version.
